Windstorm! -- Jan. 2003

In early January a major windstorm (quite possibly a tornado, from the look of it) hit northern San Bernardino County. It did a considerable amount of damage to various buildings on fairesite, including those that make up the Village of St. Ives. We managed to be ready for opening day anyway, but this is what we started from. (and we thought we wouldn't have to do much building this spring!)
The artists' pavilion was too badly damaged to repair, and had to be pulled down and demolished.
The tower, woolery, and chapel had only cosmetic damage.
The second story blew off the tavern completely. The roof landed on a booth next to Ale One.
Sorting out how to safely break down the pavilion.
The leaping house and cookhouse needed some shoring up.
The forge was ok.
The second story of the musicians' house had to be torn down. It went through the run of Faire with a flat roof- we just ran out of rebuilding time.
We lost the parsonage, too, and a storage shed simply vanished.
*sigh*
