2003 Renaissance Pleasure Faire South, Week 2

We rained out opening day. Oh we opened, complete with parade, and even had a fair number of customers in their thin shirts and shorts wandering about in the downpour. Some of the more lunatic of our crew did things like bathe and row imaginary boats. But the rain just got heavier, and by 11:00am we were closed for the day. Sunday was dry, though overcast and still cold. I woke up coughing from too much cold and damp, and decided that I was better off going home, where I'd be warm and dry. So much for my first weekend. Second weekend was much improved.

8:30am, 11 May 2003, and the sun is still shining...

The village of St. Ives is starting to stir.	The chapel is empty, the shops not yet open.	The Queen's Cup Inn? Tightly shuttered.
It's still 2003.	Half an hour from now...	...all you'll see is 16th. century.

This is my little hootch. Cozy, eh? Maybe next year I'll redecorate.
